Product Review: Maybelline Color Tattoos

The Maybelline Color Tattoos were a really big deal in the Makeup world for Eye Shadow Bases, and I rediscovered them in my Makeup collection a few weeks back. I noticed that since I've bought them in my haul (http://thaaaaai.blogspot.ca/2013/04/haul-from-today-d.html) I havent used it as much, and I dont know why. I think these are great on their own or with another color. I love creating new eye makeup for these products, they just work amazing. I love how it looks in general. I love using 55 Inked in Pink with Stila's Kitten, it looks just amazing! It has been my go to eye look lately, I love how it blends really easily, without much effort at all.

I think this product is very inexpensive for the quality of it. It lasted me a over 14 hours that one day when I had school, then had to go straight to work; I noticed that I didnt need to do any touch up's at all. I dont need to use a primer when using these products, however, if I want the colors to be more vibrant than they already are, I will use a primer. The con I have about these are that they are not very portable, they are pretty heavy; the product is held in a glass "jar"/ container. The colors I have in the picture above are
 #35 Tough as Taupe
#55 Inked in Pink

I do have other colors, however, taking pictures of all of them would take forever! I have a couple of colors that I dont like from this line, however, I just use it has a base for my eye shadows.

Product Review: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

This is the best tinted moisturizer I have ever used! I had already loved the Silk Cream Foundation from Laura Mercier, so I was wondering why not try the tinted moisturizer, and I was right, it's just amazing! It gives such a nice dewy finish that's not to overpowering, that it makes you look greasy. This product is good with or without any tools; using your fingers gives you that nice natural look. Using a brush gives you a flawless finish, and a beauty blender gives you an airbrushed look that doesn't look cakey. This tinted moisturizer is a nice sheer coverage, however, its very buildable. You can definitely build more of a light to medium coverage with this tinted moisturizer. I am in the color "Blush" It has a more pinky undertone, as am I.

I think that this is very worth it for $55 Canadian. If you want a beautiful tinted moisturizer that looks and feels just amazing when applied, get this immediately! This is worth your money for sure, its pricey, yes I do admit that, however, it just doesn't feel like any other tinted moisturizer I've ever bought. I have tried the Tarte Tinted Moisturizer; not so good. Whenever I apply the tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier it gives me a nice fresh feeling on my face, its super hard to describe, however, it feels amazing on the skin in the morning, it wakes you up with a nice fresh cold feeling to your skin!

I love using this as my everyday "foundation" I haven't touched my foundation in a long time, since I discovered this product. This product is not oily at all; if you have oily skin, I'd use it without moisturizer. Since I have dry skin except my nose, I use half the amount of moisturizer, than I would if I were to use a Foundation. This moisturizes your face without giving it that oily feeling. I use a powder on my T-zone because I like a more matte look on my T-zone, while everything else is more dewy, but not too dewy. I have enjoyed using this product very much, and hopefully I wont find any cons about this product!

Anyone have any other suggestions about more tinted moisturizers? Comment Below (:

Review: Stila Palette

The Stila Palette has been a love- hate relationship for me. I love practically all the colors, however, I only "dislike" 2 of the shadows. The colors I absolutely love using would be Kitten, Bliss, Bubbly, Sunset, Night Sky, Gilded Gold, Ebony, and Sandstone. This palette can create a neutral look and a smokey eye. I love using this palette as my everyday go to palette. I love using Kitten in most of my eye makeup looks, however, I dont like how the fallout of the shadows are crazy! I have to put a cotton pad underneath my eye because the fall out is a lot. The shadows are so soft, yet pigmented. These shadows are mostly shimmery, which is where more of the fall out is, as for the matte ones have little to no fall out.

Using this product has given much more practice with fallout product, and shimmer products, as I usually go for the matte eye look. I would buy this palette for anyone who loves creating new eyeshadow looks. The Stila Palette is not as expensive as most palettes are (Ex: Smashbox, Mac) However, the shadows are just as amazing and pigmented. I got this Palette at Sephora $50. Yes it is super pricey, but its not as pricey as creating your own Mac Eyeshadow Palette. I think this palette is good for anyone who'd like to try something new.

The Matte colors of  this palette is not as good as it can be; the shimmery ones on the other hand is very pigmented and just beautiful. I do use a primer when I use these shadows, as they do have fallout during the application, I wouldnt want it to ruin my face makeup. I dont have to do any re-touches, however, if you do want it to last longer than 12 hours, I would use a primer and set it with a Makeup spray. (Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray)

I have really enjoyed using this product, I would repurchase it again when I use up the palette, however, that won't be anytime soon. Hopefully, this palette will last me a very long time. The shadows do break when they are dropped, as they are extreamly soft. The Sudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner In Damsel on the other hand is broken.. I bought it and I went to try it, it would not twist upwards, I dont know if I just got a bad one, however, I saw on another persons blogpost, that their eye liner was broken also.
So... That is all for this post, Comment below what you think of this product! (:

Product Review: L'Oreal Colour Infallibles Pressed Shadows

These pressed shadows are absolutely amazing!!! I love using them as a base before I use my other eye shadows! I love how the colour range is absolutely amazing! I have 3 however, I havent used one of them. Hence why I'll be only reviewing two of the colours today.

The colors are Sahara Treasure and Tender Caramel. I love using these either as a base or just by themselves. Its you use just one of them and blend out the colour a bit more into your crease, its looks as if you have two colours on the lid.

I love using tender Caramel by itself, because its a beautiful caramel color with some shimmer and a hint of a taupe colour. The colours together are also just beautiful! These pressed shadows are the perfect combination of a loose pigment but also a regular shadows. You can get these pressed shadows at any drug store. $7.99 Canadian
There are downfalls to this product as well, there is some fall out of the product when dropped. There is some shimmer that does fall on to the cheeks when applied with a brush. However, these shadows last all day. A little of this product does go a long way, these are the more pricey shadows than most other drug store shadows. The shadows are crease-free, which I absolutely love, because I do have oily eyelids, and anything crease-free is great! There is no need for a primer as they do last long just by themselves, however, when using a primer, the colours appear more vibrant than without a primer. As for the packaging, its very light and its a plastic unlike the Maybelline Colour Tattoos; as they are glass. The Colour Infallible Pressed Shadows are nice and light, very travel friendly! Overall, I like this product, this would probably a favourite of the month!

Most Reached For Blushes!

Benefit: Hervana

A beautiful blush! I love this blush so much! This is one of the best blushes I have tried in forever! Its nice and pigmented but not chunky! This blush gives your cheeks a nice fresh berry and pinky colour! Its a paper boxed blush, its very easy to use, I would invest my money in this high end blush rather than any other! This blush is very blendable and very easy to work with! I would recommend this blush to anyone! This is the best high end blush ever!  $34 Canadian

StilaConvertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream: Lillium

This blush is super pigmented and very blendable! Its a nice fresh natural pink colour! This is a wonderful cream blush, it is very easy to use with just fingers, using a brush gives you more precision. Its very easy to use, amazing for a cream blush, I love how it blends into your skin so naturally! Its absolutely gorgeous on the cheeks with a natural face. Overall, this blush gives you a natural pinky coral cheeks that ties your whole face together for a nice fresh look! $33 Canadian

BareMinerals: Golden Gate

This blush is a beautiful pinky plumy color, it looks absolutely gorgeous on anyone! I love using loose powder blushes because it just so much more natural. This blush has no shimmer in it what so ever, its very easy to use. This is one of the first blushes I've tried from bareMinerals; and I absolutely love it! I think that this is very flattering in the winter to give you those nice rosy cheeks you get when you come in from the cold. It very pigmented, and easy to blend, I love using this blush, I think that the bareMineral Blushes should be a lot more popular than it actually is. This blush is super cheap for a high end brand $24 Canadian

NYX: Pinched

This is one of the BEST blushes from the drug store! Its not even expensive at all! Its really worth every penny! This blush has no scent, the pigmentation of this is absolutely wonderful! Its not overly pigmented, and its extremely easy to work with! This has some gold shimmer in it, however, its looks amazing on the cheeks. I love this blush so much, it'll look amazing on anyone!! It works on any skin type too!
$10.00 Canadian (Drug store dupe for Nars Orgasm!)

Elizabeth Arden Duo Bronzing Powder Mini Review

This bronzer has a 2 beautiful shades, it has shimmer, however, when applied to the hollows of the cheeks little to no shimmer shows up. I love how this bronzer has two shades that you can use either individually or both together! It doesn't show up muddy and it has perfect amount of pigment. It gives you a beautiful sun kissed glow to your face, it ties up everything on my face. Its absolutely perfect and it should be in everyone's make up collection or make up bag. This is my favourite bronzer, I always reach for this bronzer before anything else. This is the smaller version of the Bronzer, there is a full size one. I have been using this bronzer for over 2 years now, this is my 3rd one I bought, I have bought the full size one however, its not very convenient to keep in my make up bag because it is quite bulky. I will keep repurchasing this bronzer until they either discontinue it or when I find one better than this. $34 Canadian

Top 3 Favourite Perfumes

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy

This scent is a gorgeous fruity scent. It has a nice blueberry smell that`s not to overwhelming. I use this whenever I need a long lasting perfume. I honestly dont need to use a lot of this perfume, because about 2 squirts is just enough; a little comes a long way! This perfume is more of a fall and winter scent. This scent is "more on the seductive, and sexier side for sure. This scent is definitely a bit of the "mature" side. The reason "mature" is in quotations is because I would range this perfume around the ages of 17-27.

Marc Jacob's Daisy

This scent is absolutely beautiful, and it's just a perfume that is reached for very often in my collection. This perfume is very light and it smells like a beautiful bunch of daisies. Its a very light and delicate scent, it's so refreshing! This is a perfect scent for the spring and summer, wearing this perfume makes you smell so fresh and gives a nice floral scent that's not to overwhelming! This scent is just perfect for absolutely anyone!

Christian Dior J'Adore (Limited Edition Bottle)

First thing I noticed about this perfume is that its definitely more on the mature side. This perfume is extremely expensive, however, its worth every penny! I love this perfume so much! The scent is delicate, light, very feminine and sexy. Its a seductive and elegant scent, but yet its not overwhelming. Every time I wear this scent, I always seem to get compliments, a lot more than when i would wear the Daisy Perfume By Marc Jacob. The J'Adore is a floral scent, and has very long lasting power! II absolutely love this perfume, its one of my first perfumes ever. I have got the Limited Edition Bottle which I don't want to use up, its an all gold bottle; its so beautiful and classy, its really expensive but so worth every penny!

These were not in a particular order.

What are some of your favourite scents? Comment below! (:

Top Three Drugstore Lip Products Reached on a Daily Basis! Pictures and Swatches Included!

Burt's Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry

This Product is absolutely amazing! It hydrates your lips within seconds! I apply this all over my lips before any other Lip Product. This is a lip balm that I'll ALWAYS have with me. I never go anywhere without it! This is a clear lip balm, it's not sticky at all and it has a berry scent to it. It makes your lips feel extremely soft, and moisturized. This product is very inexpensive and is something that I'll always repurchase every time I run out or loose one! This product is a life saver if you live in Canada where the air is extremely dry and cold, this saves your lips! (: $4.89 Canadian
(The burt's bees photo is not mine, however everything else is mine)

L'oreal Colour Riche Balm SPF15 Colour: 418 Caring Coral

The Lòreal Colour Rich Balm in the colour Caring Coral is just the perfect tinted lip balm. I personally don't use lipstick because it doesn't look appealing on me. However, looking in the drug store, I found this tinted lip balm and thank god I found it, its absolutely amazing! I love how it gives a very subtle colour to your lips, but yet its not opaque, its your lips but better. This product is not very expensive, its very affordable. The packaging is quite nice in my opinion, when you pull the lid/ cap off, the stick itself looks really classy and it looks like a high end product. The colour pay off is perfect for me, however, some people who find that its barely anything (Lipstick Lovers) This isn't a product for you if you want something opaque. I love this product, and its reached for in my make up collection quite often. Sadly, this product has to be reapplied every 2 hours or so, that would be the only downfall for me ): I will definitely repurchase this when I run out! (: $8.75 Canadian

CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm Color: 210

The CoverGirl Jumbo Gloss Balm sticks are amazing! I love these things to death. They are super amazing and very easy to use! There is no need for a mirror whenever you need to reapply. They are very moisturizing and yet they still provide a sheer colour. The packaging is really slim and quite nice to fit into a small little clutch. The colour pay off of the product is a sheer layer of colour however, it has a beautiful shine. There is no need for a lip gloss application for this product! This is almost like a 2 in 1 product. The colour pay off it nice and perfect for me because I like a nice sheer colour for my lips. This is very similar to the Clinque Chubby Sticks; except cheaper! The Jumbo Gloss Balms are worth every penny spent. This product is super inexpensive for the quality of the item. You can find these in any drug store. I would also repurchase this product whenever I run out! $7.50 Canadian

Best Drugstore Concealers for the Undereyes

Maybelline Dream Lumi- Touch Concealer Color: Nude

This concealer is amazing for brightening and covering up the undereye area! This is also a good highlighter for the bridge of the nose, if you run the brush down the nose, it'll be a very light and subtle highlighter! It does cover up the darkness from your undereyes! Its in my everyday makeup routine, I will always reach for it I have went through 6 sticks of these already! If they sold this in a bigger tube, it would be a lot better! I love using this product, I will continue to use it until I find something better!

Rimmel Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer 2 in 1 Concealer/ Highlighter

I use this concealer underneath the Maybelline Dream Lumi- Touch Concealer. I use the color Ivory for the Rimmel Concealer. I got a shade lighter than my actual skin because I use this as a highlighter also! I prefer a more subtle highlighter like a concealer than an actual highlighter like the Urban Decay: Urban Glow Highlight   Color: Sin. I have used 3 or 4 tubes of this product! Its really worth every penny! I think that this is one of the best concealers I have used from a drugstore besides from the Maybelline Dream Lumi- touch Concealer!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Review

The Naked Basics Palette is absolutely amazing! You can use this as a everyday palette, it is small enough to fit into a small little clutch if you need to bring it along with you! There is not enough good things to say about this product! It is not pricey at all for this palette! I love the colors, they are extremely smooth, but kinda creamy feeling, all the shadows are the same sizes as the Naked 2 and Naked Palette shadows (1.3g)

The first 3 colors appear a bit lighter than I would like. The pigmentation of these shadows are pretty good, the only "Problems" I have is with Foxy, however, I can just use that as a nice base of some sort. I do think that the pigmentation could be better for the lighter shades, however the darker shades are amazing! They aren't as good as my "Smashbox Softeyes Palette"  I use "W.O.S" all over the lid, then using naked 2 in the crease because it gives an amazing natural look. It gives your crease more dimension yet not over-doing it! I use "Faint" on the outer corner of my eye and "Crave" as my liner for a more natural liner instead of using a pencil or a liquid liner! I also use Venus as my inner corner and brow bone highlighter! You can create a nice smokey look with this palette alone! They are all "Matte" colors, the reason I put "Matte" in quotations is because I can see very little shimmer in the shadows, however, when applied to the eyes, it is completely matte! Overall I really do love this palette, not as much as I love my "Smashbox Softeyes Palette" but still absolutely amazing, Urban Decay hasn't let me down yet, hopefully it wont anytime soon! (:

How do you guys thinnk about the palette itself? Opinions? Any other palettes you would recommend?

Smashbox Softbox Palette Review!!!

The "Smashbox Softbox Palette" is absolutely amazing! The pigmentation of the eye shadows are amazing! They are soft yet blendable. They are extremely easy to work with! I love this palette as much as I love the "Naked Basics Palette". I got the neutral colours! I think that these colours would be lovely for a everyday eye make-up!

There are 4 shimmery and 2 matte colours. The matte colours are not powdery, the shimmery colours are also great! I don't have to place a tissue under my eye so that the powder doesn't fall onto my foundation/ concealer. I think that the Smashbox palettes don't get enough attention as the Naked Palettes do! They are more on the pricey side of make-up. $44.00 (Canada) It is extremely worth each penny!

I love this palette so much! I cant say enough good things about this, the colours are just absolutely beautiful! You do need to use a primer underneath of this or using a Mac PaintPot would also work just fine! The Naked Basics Palette Review will be posted by Sunday latest!

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation Review

The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation is an amazing medium to full coverage foundation. I bought this foundation at Sephora $50.00 (Canadian) and I'm in the shade 160 IVORIE (W). The product says that it is "Wear and comfort retouch-free makeup". SPF15. I absolutely love this foundation when my skin decides to act up and break out. It has amazing coverage as I have said before. The only "downside" to this foundation FOR ME is that it is a very matte finish. I have combination-dry skin, so I usually already have a matte finish even after I use Laura Mercier Silk cream foundation; its suppose to give a dewy finish. I usually end up with a matte finish. I use this in the summer when I have "oilier" skin than I do in the winter. The product feels like a regular foundation, it settles onto your skin fairly fast, however, it is very easy to blend. The packaging is a 5/5, It looks very professional, and I absolutely love the pump it comes with. The bottle is a glass bottle with an acrylic lid. The product itself, is an amazing product, I would buy definitely buy it again when I run out, which won't be anytime soon though! I recommend this product to people who have more oily skin because it does give you a fairly matte finish.

Revlon Lip Butters Overview

Revlon Lip Butter in the colour Strawberry Shortcake! Amazing colour pay off for a lip butter. I cant wait to add more into my lippies collection. This is the perfect colour for the beginning of spring, I absolutely can't wait to buy some other colours! (: I love these things, I'm very happy that Revlon came out with these, i cant wait to try the L'oreal Balm. Anyone want to tell me any tips or warnings about the L'oreal Balm?
